As a trusted design, engineering, and manufacturing partner, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully secured a major research and development contract with a global Chinese diagnostics organization.
The Shanghai-based company specializes in in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) and intends to fully utilize our experienced, multi-disciplinary R&D engineers for the complete development of a microfluidic cartridge and molecular point-of-care diagnostic system for the detection of respiratory infections in children.
All R&D for the project will be carried out at our UK headquarters based in Ashford, Kent. The team will carry out feasibility studies, extensive market research, and concept design in order to identify the best route forward.
One of the key factors in securing the contract was our ISO 13485:2016 accredited manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China. With long-term plans to manufacture the system in China, it was hugely beneficial to the customer to find a contract partner with a full understanding of the Chinese language, regulatory landscape, business and cultural environment, and the importance of building relationships within the country.
