Board of Directors

Nick Colyer

Managing Director

Nick was appointed to the Board of Directors as Managing Director on 1st July 2020. Nick is responsible for defining ITL’s global operations strategy, setting the strategic direction while nurturing a strong leadership team to drive its execution. He has over a decade of industry experience in Supply Chain, Materials Control and Operations Management.

Prior to his appointment, Nick held a number of management positions, including Operations Manager and Materials Control Manager. Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Brighton and is a member of the Institute of Directors. He is also a certified BSI Lean Practitioner.

Ian McCutcheon

Research & Development Director

Ian is responsible for leading ITL’s multidisciplinary Research and Development team. He has over 30 years’ R&D experience working in the medical device, life science and aerospace industries; with proven leadership in project management, new product development and systems engineering.

He joined the company in 1990 and has since been involved in the realization and development of hundreds of products. During his career at ITL, he held positions including Principal Design Engineer and Project Manager. Ian is a qualified Electronics Design Engineer with a background in Military and Defense.

Johnson Zhou

Founder & Managing Director of IES, China

Johnson is responsible for leading the operation and management of ITL's Chinese subsidiary, Integrated Electronic Systems (Shanghai) Limited, and for formulating and promoting ITL's strategic development plans in China, Japan and South East Asia. With over 15 years of management experience, he is well-versed in operations management, research and development, and regulatory affairs.

Johnson joined ITL in 2006 as General Manager. He started his career in the life science industry working as an R&D Technician specializing in gene expression microarray studies. He holds a degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Shanghai’s University of Engineering Science. EMBA, University of Aberdeen.

Management Team

Tom Ackrill

Strategic Business Development Manager

Tom joined ITL in 2011 as a Business Development Coordinator and now serves as Strategic Business Development Manager. He is responsible for developing, driving and leading the company’s global sales and marketing functions. Tom is well-versed in the product development process and its associated regulatory framework and is intimately involved in contract negotiations and development of customer relationships.

Tom started his career in the life science industry, working as a Microbiology Analyst at Severn Trent Services. He now holds a degree in Analytical Science from the University of Coventry.

Tristan Lambert

Production Manager

As Production Manager, Tristan is responsible for ITL’s production activities and operations. He coordinates and controls manufacturing processes, ensuring quality products are delivered on-time and to specification. With more than 20 years’ industry experience, he is well-versed in helping customers achieve their strategic manufacturing goals.

Tristan joined ITL in 1999 and has since held several roles in production and operations where he has established a track record as a leader with expertise in lean manufacturing and project management. Tristan is a certified BSI Lean Practitioner.

Johanne O’Reilly

Supply Chain Manager

As Supply Chain Manager, Johanne is responsible for Supply Chain, Procurement and Warehousing at ITL. Working in the Supply Chain industry for over 30 years, Jo has extensive expertise and experience in Production Planning, Warehousing, Purchasing, NPI, Import & Export and Legal. She has worked within FMCG, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals & Personal Care sectors.

Jo joined ITL in February 2021. She is a strategic thinker who believes in an inclusive approach in leadership style. Loyal and proactive with a strong work ethic, commercially astute and committed to ongoing self-development and to the development of the team.

Steve Rowland

Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager

Steve joined ITL in August 2021. As the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager, he is responsible for overseeing the Quality Team and Regulatory activities at ITL.

Steve has extensive hands-on management experience in the areas of Quality, Regulatory R&D and Special Projects. He has worked for over 30 years in the FMCG, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Household and Personal Care sectors. He believes in management by inclusion and leading by example.

Joshua Tupper

Technical Proposals Manager

Joshua is an experienced mechanical engineer with a background in aerospace, oil & gas, and defence sector product design and manufacturing. His career has encompassed roles as Development Engineer, Validation Engineer, Design Manager, and Engineering Manager. He brings practical experience with mechanical and production engineering that will help clients navigate and mitigate risks for their product development.

He joined ITL in 2021 to work with the Business Development and R&D Departments, providing technical support with new business opportunities. Joshua works with clients to maximize the benefits of our product development cycle and to access ITL’s wealth of design and manufacturing experience.

Project Managers

Evangelos Alexiadis

Projects Manager

Evangelos is responsible for planning, overseeing, and on-time delivery of complex R&D projects. He has over 15 years of experience in the medical device and life science industries, specializing in microfluidic systems and scientific instruments. His depth of knowledge and expertise prove to be invaluable in helping projects reach their full potential.

Evangelos joined ITL in 2013 as a Systems Engineer, where he gained and shared his experience in the development of several projects, from concept to completion. He holds a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering with Medical Electronics (Honours), a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Embedded Systems Engineering.

Nigel Stevens

Projects Manager

Nigel joined ITL in 2021 as a Projects Manager. He is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers to complete complex R&D projects. As the key point of contact for the client and the development team, Nigel ensures that projects are delivered on time and meet customer expectations and compliance requirements.

Nigel is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a career history, of over 35 years, in product design and development in the food, aviation and automotive industries. He has extensive experience in leading comprehensive teams of engineers on R&D projects for global OEM's.

Mark Tickner

Projects Manager

Mark joined ITL in 2015. As Projects Manager, Mark is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers to complete complex R&D projects. He is a pivotal point of contact for the client and ensures projects are delivered on time within the regulatory framework.

Mark has over 23 years of experience working in the medical device, pharmaceutical and life science industries. His significant background in laboratories and device development enables him to bring together the client and ITL’s engineering to a successful realisation. Mark has delivered a variety of development projects whilst at ITL, including analytical diagnostic instruments, disposable cartridges and patient connected devices.

Marcus Willis

Projects Manager

Marcus joined ITL in 2021. As Projects Manager, he is responsible for overseeing & leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers to complete complex R&D projects.

Marcus is qualified in Mechanical Engineering and has a background in Payment Technologies & Military Aerospace. With over 30 years of hands-on experience of product development with a passion for the design and manufacturing of innovative electro-mechanical products to meet the needs of integrators, end users & the environment. With in-depth knowledge of the principles of product design & engineering, ability to conceptualise, analyse & develop ideas throughout the product development process utilising the latest current manufacturing & production processes, as well as the best practices to achieve commercial success.
