Meet Melanie, ITL’s New Sales Representative

We are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our team, Melanie Lombardi, the new Sales Representative for the ITL Group.

Melanie joined the ITL Group in May with 10 years of clinical ophthalmic experience, three years of regional sales management and five years of research in library sciences experience.

We wanted to know a little bit more about our newest team member, here’s what we found out…

Q: What have your first few months working at ITL Group been like?

One of my favourite aspects of working for ITL Group is that no two days are the same, every day is filled with new projects. I am excited to hit the ground running to improve the global presence of the Vitl brand and its specifications. I strive to advance in this role and build a solid rapport with Vitl/ITL customers.

Q: What attracted you to work within the Laboratory/MedTech industry?

My interest in a career in biotechnology led me to pursue a degree in chemistry. I have been in the Laboratory/MedTech industry working as a Retinal Clinic Coordinator assisting in clinical trials for intravitreal injections, implementing ophthalmic medical devices, and worked in international sales for electrochemistry lab instrumentation.

Q: What technology/innovation could you not live without?

I could not live without my phone. It allows me access to read eBooks, emails, research projects, take photos, or look up new and exciting recipes to make!

Q: What goals have you set for the rest of 2017?

Since joining ITL Group in May, I have hit the ground running to promote Vitl Life Science Solutions brand. I am thrilled to be exhibiting at the Clinical Lab Expo for the 69th AACC conference in San Diego for the ITL Group. We should have a superb audience to highlight ITL’s stellar competencies for product design.

Q: What’s been your career highlights so far?

I published research for the US Army after undergrad and followed my passion of eye care. I worked in patient care for a private eye care practice for 8 years, and two years in implementing clinical research projects for clinical trials and performing genetic research. I excelled in electrochemistry manufacturing industry regional sales where I grew sales in a multistate territory by 112%.

Q: What would you name the autobiography of your life?

Love Lifelong Learning

Q: Where’s your favourite place in the world?

It is hard to pick a favourite place. I am an avid traveller and believe home is certainly where the heart is.

Q: Do you have any hidden talents?

I have a passion for cooking! I’m a tenacious banana bread maker, just ask the ITL VA team!
