ITL Manufacturing Role Models Recognised in The Manufacturer Top 100

Two ITL team members were honoured for their contribution to the manufacturing industry at The Manufacturer Top 100 report launch.

At the event in Birmingham, CEO Tom Cole and SMT Team Leader Alex Richardson were featured amongst the top 100 most inspiring and influential role models in the industry.

The initiative, which is part of The Manufacturer Live series of events, publicises the commitment and enthusiasm of the talented individuals behind the great successes in manufacturing.

On the evening of 1 November, more than 300 industry leaders and the wider manufacturing community gathered at the exclusive event at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to celebrate the report’s launch.

As The Manufacturer publicises, those outlined in the report are catalysts for change in the sector. They strive for innovation, the newest technologies and pioneering business models. They acclimatise, pivot and plunge forward as markets and competition develop.

Individuals were nominated by readers of The Manufacturer, the wider industrial community and the public. The final list was decided by an expert panel of judges from academia and industry.

Max Roberts, vice president and UK leader of manufacturing & automotive, salesforce, and TM Top 100 judge 2016, commented:

“The individuals showcased in The Manufacturer Top 100 are changing the face of British manufacturing and redefining the industrial landscape as we know it. Their innovation is pioneering new ways of engagement, and together with these visionaries, we can provide the tools required to write our future.”

Tom Cole said;

“It was an honour for myself and Alex to be recognised for our commitment to the industry. We’re part of an exciting and progressive sector and it’s been fantastic to celebrate our achievements and those of fellow innovators.”

“We had a great time at the launch last night. We’re extremely proud to be part of manufacturing and both Alex and I both left the event feeling inspired about the future of our industry.”

Alex Richardson has been responsible for ITL’s PCB manufacturing area for the past five years. He said:

“As a young person in the industry, I think the TM Top 100 is a brilliant programme to inspire more young minds to join manufacturing. It profiles the great work we do and shows what you can achieve being part of a creative, progressive and fulfilling sector.”
