21 January 2021 News

ITL has announced that as part of its succession plan, the Board of Directors has appointed Nick Colyer as the organization’s Managing Director, and Stephen Hope, currently New Product Development Manager, as Business Development Director, effective July. 1, 2020.

Nick will report directly to Mark Webster, CEO at G&H, and will be responsible for providing strategic direction across the UK, North America, and China. Stephen will be responsible for the global commercial direction of the business, including working closely with the G&H Business Development team.

Colyer has been with the company for 12 years and Hope for over 30. Both joined ITL as engineers but subsequently moved into operational and commercial roles respectively.

Colyer commented, “I am excited and ready to embrace this new opportunity, especially at a time where ITL and the Life Sciences sector are showing enormous potential. I look forward to using my experience to bring a fresh perspective, building on the company’s solid foundation and well-deserved reputation. Over the next few years, we will be working to grow ITL’s presence in the UK, US, and China, as well as within the wider G&H group.

Hope added, “I’m privileged to have been given this opportunity, to take a more prominent role in the experienced leadership team of ITL, an established and successful business that has been a fulfilling part of my life for 33 years. Now, with ITL as part of the larger G&H group, the opportunity is to take the business to the next level, and I look forward to the challenge of delivering growth on the strong foundations laid by Greg and Tom.

Cole and Smith announced their intention to retire as Managing Director and Business Development Director upon the announcement of the new leadership structure. Both directors will assist in the transition of duties to Nick and Stephen and will continue to serve on the Board until September 30, 2020.

Tom Cole, Managing Director, commented, “ITL’s track record has been a remarkable one. We’ve certainly enhanced the shareholder value at G&H and will continue to exceed their expectations. Greg and I have always taken a long-term view, aiming to grow and build ITL slowly but carefully, and always with an eye on the future. Both Nick and Steve bring a wealth of experience, and I have every confidence in ITL’s leadership team to continue to deliver the service and results our customers have come to expect from us.

Business Development Director Greg Smith said, “It is without doubt the right time to step down and hand over the reins to Nick and Steve. I am fully confident that with their combined breadth of experience and their dedication to the ITL, they will steer the company to even greater heights over the coming years.”
