ITL Appoints New Research & Development Director

1 April 2022 News

December 2021, Integrated Technologies Limited (ITL) saw the departure of Stephen Hope from the company as he retired from his position as Business Development Director.

As part of the company’s succession plan, Ian McCutcheon was appointed to our Board of Directors in January 2022. ITL is delighted to announce that Ian McCutcheon is now our Research & Development Director.

Joining the company in 1990, Ian has been involved in the realization and development of hundreds of products. During his career at ITL, he has held positions including Principal Design Engineer, Project Manager and R&D Manager.

Ian commented, “The past couple of months have been challenging, I think, for all companies as we learn to live in a world with Covid and learn to deal with the problems and issues this brings about both in terms of resources and component supply. However, I believe that technology has helped to play its part in saving many lives and ITL has been a small part of that. Being involved in bringing innovative instruments to life with such talented engineers and manufacturing staff is still a passion of mine after over 32 years at ITL. Each project is unique and has different challenges and constraints, often the projects offer real benefits to society, and it is very rewarding meeting prospective clients, learning their vision, and then seeing this realised. Having the opportunity to assist Nick steer ITLs future path is very exciting, and I think good strides have been taken over the past few months to strengthen our competencies and continue our path towards an efficient, modern, design and manufacturing company, striving to do our best for our clients.”

Nick Colyer, Managing Director, said, “Ian is a very experienced engineer and has been instrumental in developing R&D into what it is today. I am very pleased that he has accepted the position of R&D Director and I look forward to continuing to grow the company with his support.”
