Nick has a degree in Electrical Engineering specialising in Digital Electronics. After starting his career as a Hardware Engineer in ITL R&D and designing several products that are now manufactured at ITL, Nick then progressed onto a Project Lead role working with all departments and implemented the company’s fully integrated ERP system. With this technical background and his ERP system experience in mind, a new role was created to manage purchasing, goods-in/despatch, the annual stocktake and general stock scheduling/control alongside the Production Manager. After almost 3 years experience as the Materials Control Manager Nick has now progressed onto the role of Operations Manager, overseeing all operational decisions below the CEO.
Business Development Director
Steve has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Steve started his engineering career with a strong interest in robotics and mechatronics, having completed one of the first computer aided engineering HND courses in the country.
Steve worked in flexible manufacturing systems, the automotive and the medical devices industry, and now leads ITL’s development team for the Vitl product range as well as providing technical support within Business Development.
Business Development Manager
Tom initially started his career in Microbiology as an apprentice with Severn Trent Services. He studied part-time whilst working in their laboratory, until he graduated from the University of Coventry in 2011 with a degree in Analytical Science.
Tom now manages his own department and oversees all business development activities. He’s now responsible for overseeing marketing activity and ensuring the continual development of ITL’s new and existing client base.
New Product Manager
Paul’s experience in Production Management at ITL calls upon his history of manufacturing in the medical diagnostic, aerospace and precision electro-mechanical instrumentation sectors.
Since joining ITL Paul has been responsible for the surface mount PCB assembly system, implementation of space-saving stock management systems, live on-line production scheduling techniques and moving Production to cellular work areas which are focused on ITL’s quality goals.
Since joining ITL Group in 1999, Tristan has gained valuable experience in the MedTech and Life Science industry. Initially starting as a Production Operator, Tristan quickly progressed from Team Leader to Supervisor to Senior Supervisor and now Production Manager. Boasting 18 years of experience, Tristan plays a crucial role in sustaining ITL’s highly-successful Production department.
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager
Andrew started his career in Quality Assurance in a laboratory environment and has subsequently taken up similar roles within the medical industry.
Andrew is a trained QA Engineer and took over the role as Quality Manager at ITL in early 2007.
Andrew’s brief is to stay up to date and conversant with all aspects of the Medical Device and associated Directives, to implement and maintain ITL’s quality assurance certification and to ensure ITL operates in line with current quality standards.
Andrew’s strong capabilities in analysis have enabled streamlining of the quality system and monitoring of KPI’s, supplier performance and product performance in the field.
Ian is a qualified Electronics Design Engineer who worked on anti-submarine warfare and military projects prior to joining ITL.
His career at ITL has included working as Principal Design Engineer and a Project Manager. Ian’s experience in project managing medical device design and development projects from conceptualisation through to manufacture and distribution, along with his wealth of technical knowledge is invaluable for managing complex projects and overcoming design challenges. Ian now heads up ITL’s multidisciplinary R&D team for design and development.
Martin holds a strong background in regulatory affairs and project management, having worked for companies in the medical diagnostic field for over 30 years.
He is qualified in Electronics Engineering with an MoD background and is trained in ISO auditing for the medical device and healthcare products sector.
Lee comes from a Mechanical Engineering and Production Engineering background.
Having worked in the Medical and Biotechnology industries he also has experience within the defence market and with aerospace flight control systems.
Carol has worked in the company’s finance department since 1987; her time with ITL yielding a wealth of knowledge of both the company and its systems.
She joined the management team in January 2010 and runs a small, efficient department responsible for the company’s financial requirements.
Carol’s classic training gives her the perfect head for figures and her invaluable experience ensures that information is always immediately to hand.
General Manager, China
Johnson has a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering and business administration. Before he joined ITL in 2007, his career started in the laboratory working on gene expression microarray studies including biochemical reagents with involvement in laboratory equipment sales. Johnson has many years of sales management experience and operations management in China.
VP Operations, USA
Thomas has a Masters in Technology Management and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Thomas started his career with ITL UK in 2007 as a member of the R&D team for product design and development, working later on as a Systems Engineer. In 2013 he relocated to the U.S. to setup and manage the company’s American-based facility and operations.
