Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the purpose of the Senior Marketing Coordinator is to utilise various marketing channels, strategies, and tactics to generate leads for the business development and sales teams.

Key Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Create and implement a multi-channel marketing and communications strategy to raise awareness of both brands.
  • Oversee all marketing and communications activities including brand management, social media management, public and media relations, digital and print advertising, website maintenance, market research and budgeting.
  • Measure and report on effectiveness of marketing campaigns using a combination of sales data, marketing data and other channel metrics with a bi-annual review of marketing efforts.
  • Create and execute social media and content strategies, including generating visually engaging content for LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Long-term strategic planning alongside the Board of Directors and leadership team.
  • Manage and develop the website including content creation, SEO and keyword optimisation, and UX improvements alongside an external web development agency.
  • Manage and maintain the website using Expression Engine CMS.
  • Plan, market and attend exhibitions, industry conferences and seminars, and other networking events to help grow visibility of the brands.
  • Monitor and report on industry and consumer trends through attendance at exhibitions, competitor analysis and market research.
  • Coordinate market research and identify gaps in the market to support new product development.
  • Source, coordinate, and project manage marketing agencies, photographers, videographers, and other creatives/freelancers.
  • Establish and maintain positive interactions with clients, industry media, universities etc., to maintain reputation, strengthen brand loyalty and build credibility.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage public and media relations activities to promote a positive image of the company.
  • Translate complex engineering and scientific terminology into crisp, jargon-free content that speaks to target audiences.
  • Project manage an external design agency to support the development of all marketing collateral for a global network of distributors, including product catalogues, technical specifications, whitepapers etc.
  • Build strong working relationships with leadership and cross-functional colleagues to identify and support activities that require communication.
  • Brand management and maintaining brand standards.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the marketing budget.

Experience, Knowledge & Requirements

  • CIM qualification, Marketing degree or relevant qualification.
  • Proven experience in marketing life sciences, healthcare or technology sectors.
  • Proficient use of tools including Adobe Creative Cloud – (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEM Rush, MailChimp and Buffer.
  • Skilled at using digital platforms and technologies to increase sales, build brand awareness and educate customers about product and service offerings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to accuracy and exceptional eye for detail.
  • Organised and methodical approach to workload and able to work to deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt a proactive approach to self-education.
  • Able to work on own initiative and as a team player.
