Quality Engineer 

We’re searching for a Quality Engineer

Here at ITL, the projects we work on are diverse, stimulating and challenging. From devices enhancing and improving cancer staging treatment to intelligent drug delivery systems and point of care diagnostic testing, we’re leading the way. We are looking for an additional member or our Quality Assurance team to work with specific medical device projects in production at ITL.

Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager.

This role does not include supervisory responsibilities; however, the role does include some authority over release of medical devices. Main responsibilities during a project include:

  • Process Validation of a new medical device entering production.
  • Involvement in setting up test and DHR processes including Microsoft SharePoint (or similar).
  • Liaising with the Production Engineering department during the project set up.
  • Liaising with ITL’s customers on quality issues.
  • Developing goods receipt inspection plans, including trend analysis.
  • Customer Acceptance (CA) release of finished medical devices.

Responsibilities following project set-up will include:

  • Process Validation of a subsequent changes to device(s).
  • Administering Microsoft SharePoint (or similar) with the QA department.
  • Customer Acceptance (CA) release of finished medical device(s).
  • Trend analysis for devices in production.
  • Liaising with ITL’s customer(s) on quality issues.
  • Working to company standards as written in the QA Manual and SOPs.

In addition to the above functions and responsibilities employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.

Experience, Knowledge & Requirements

  • A related technical qualification is desirable.
  • Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills are essential.
  • Quality assurance training including Process Validation may be required.
